In 1971, O.L. Parker started his grading business in Charlotte, North Carolina. Specializing in residential projects, he grew the company through hard work, a strong work ethic, and by developing personal relationships with those friends he called customers.
O.L.'s son Rodney Parker was there from the beginning helping his father build the company. Starting out with nothing more than a farm tractor, together they built the company. In 1987 the company incorporated. Today O.L. Parker & Son Grading Co. is a fully licensed General Contractor. Sadly O.L. Parker has passed away, but his daughter Donna Whitesides leads the company as President and Rodney Parker (O.L.'s son) serves as Vice President. O.L. Parker & Son Grading Co. is now a third generation family owned company with Daniel Whitesides (Donna's Son) and Jason Parker (Rodney's Son) both working for the company.
Jason Parker has been working with the company since 1999. He now works in site supervision and has a crucial role in overseeing the mat and bridge installations.
Daniel Whitesides got his Civil Engineering degree in 1997. After working for a large construction company after college, Daniel knew he wanted to continue his Grandfather's legacy. Today Daniel works in site management, job quoting, and operations management. He has been instrumental in leading the company into the next generation.
Our corporate offices are located in Charlotte, NC. Having such a close proximity to interstates 77, 85, and 40 allows us to serve our customers throughout North and South Carolina. Our team oriented approach to work allows us to deliver great customer service, and quality throughout all phases of each project.
